Jammu, April 05: Vice-Chairperson of J&K Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation, Balbir Ram Rattan, today said that the basic line and fundamental principle on which this organization works is social and economic upliftment of the communities falling under reserved categories.
He cited the guiding line, which works on the slogan of ‘Poverty to Prosperity’ and asserted that the Corporation is following the same line while it extends help to needy and poor.
Balbir said this while interacting with over a dozen prominent leaders from weaker sections, who visited his office to greet on being appointed National Secretary of Guru Ravidass Vishav Mahapeeth as well as on getting honoured with Dr. Ambedkar National Award.

They lauded the work of Balbir Ram Rattan as VC of the Corporation and said that his relentless efforts in ameliorating the sufferings of poor and needy persons have impacted their lives and there are many of them whose lives have changed for better. While appreciating the concern of Balbir Ram, they said this active approach has certainly made a big difference on the ground level as he makes it sure that people are benefitted by various schemes and pro poor policies of the government.
During interaction with them, Balbir further said the basic objective of the Corporation is to extend every possible help to needy and deserving ones and he personally makes it sure that the beneficiaries are genuine and actually in need of help from the government. He further said the Corporation would continue its efforts in that direction and make the slogan of ‘Poverty to Prosperity’ real for the people under reserved categories, particularly those who have not been entertained till now.
