Chanu for winning gold medal for India at the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2018 in
Gold Coast, Australia.
“Congratulations Golden Girl #SanjitaChanu on winning the
Gold medal for India at #GC2018 as she wins the medal by lifting a total of
192 kg,” AAP said in a tweet.
Dominating the women’s 53kg event, Weightlifter Khumukcham Sanjita Chanu delivered India its second gold medal of the 2018 Commonwealth Games (CWG) in Gold Coast City on Friday.
The 24-year-old from Manipur broke the previous CWG record with a lift of 84kg in the snatch category and then lifted 108 to finish with a combined effort of 192kg. UNI
