POONCH, APRIL 10: Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, held an
introductory meeting with the members of civil society, representatives of
various trader associations and social organizations to discuss various issues
pertaining to the general public.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Dr. Bashrat
Hussain, ACR Ashraf Choudhary, representatives of various social services
organizations, heads of religious associations, lawyers and
other members of civil society.
During the meeting, the DC was apprised
of different development issues of
the district pertaining to sanitation and public utilities at several locations
in the town besides traffic management and removal of encroachment in some important areas
in Poonch town.
While speaking on the occasion, Mohammed
Aijaz Asad termed peace as prerequisite for carrying government's development
agenda forward and sought cooperation from the civil society and the
general public in this regard.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that all their
genuine issues will be looked into.
Meanwhile, DC appealed
the traders associations in ensuring that the pathways and town's interior
roads are kept available for the mobility of pedestrian.
He hoped that effective delivery of public services
will be ensured with cooperation of general public.
Highlighting the tradition
of maintaining communal harmony, the speakers assured full cooperation to the
administration in ensuring peace and development.
