ANANTNAG, APRIL 10: The
District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today chaired
a meeting to review the progress achieved under centrally-sponsored Swachh
Bharat Mission (SBM) in the district.
On the occasion, DDC emphasized on the
sustainability of ODF campaign for
which he stressed on collective and coordinated efforts to ensure its success.
He said that 300 officers of different departments shall monitor the progress
under SBM and shall provide the necessary inputs for its sustainability.
Meanwhile, he asked the officers including the
principals of the colleges and officers of the education department to organize
the awareness programmes to sensitize the general public and students regarding
the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.
The DDC stressed upon all the district officers to
ensure the proper cleanliness within and outside their office premises so that
a positive signal goes to the general public.
The meeting also discussed block-wise progress made
under SBM till date t. It was said that 5 blocks and 122 panchayats have been
declared ODF, while as 95% households have been covered under ODF, so far, and
rest will be covered soon. It was given out that 82.26% geotagging of the
Mission works has also been completed to date.
ADC, ADDC, Principals of the Colleges, Exen PHE
Division Bijbehara, General Manager DIC, ACD, DPO, CEO, CPO, BDOs and district
officers of various departments attended the meeting.
