JAMMU, APRIL 06: Taking strong note of the frequent and
unauthorized visits by officers, officials from subordinate offices of the
School Education Department and the educational institutions to the
Administrative Department, the Government has asked such officials to desist
from visiting the Civil Secretariat without proper permission from the
concerned Director of School Education.
“It
is hereby enjoined upon all the officers, officials from subordinate offices of
the School Education Department and the educational institutions that they
shall not visit the Administrative Department without proper permission from
concerned Director of School Education,” said a Circular
issued by the Secretary to the Government, School Education Department.
It said any person found involved in the breach of
these instructions, shall be dealt with stern punitive action, as warranted
under rules.
Secretary Education said the decision to discourage
Education Department officials from frequently visiting the Administrative
Department has been taken in the interest of the student community.
“The
officers, officials from subordinate offices of the School Education Department
and the educational institutions instead of making frequent rounds of the
Administrative Department should focus on their primary responsibility of
imparting and improving education,” the Secretary
Education said.
