SANASAR, APRIL 27: In a week long Indradhanush campaign since April 23, all 33 left out
children below the age of 2 years and 27 pregnant ladies were vaccinated at
Sanasar by a
Health Department team of Sher-e-Kashmir Memorial Hospital, Batote.
The team included Block Medical Officer, Batote, Dr.Shakeel Ahmed
Sumbria, Dr.Adil and Dr.Kuljesh Rakwal besides concerning ASHA and Anganwadi
Workers.
In the past week, these children who could not be vaccinated till then
because of one or the other reason were vaccinated against seven deadly
diseases Measles, Polio, Pertusis, Tetanus, TB, Diptheria and Hepatitis- B by
the team.
Sanasar Niabat comprising of two Panchayats was the only area in Ramban
district which was selected for the ongoing nationwide Indradhanush campaign
launched in India since December 25, 2014.
During the
past week left out children were given Vitamin - A dose and pregnant ladies were
provided with IFA supplement.
On the last day of the campaign, an awareness programme on vaccination
was held at Government Middle School, Chauri, where the students were informed
about the importance of vaccination and Indradhanush Campaign.
