UDHAMPUR, APRIL 27- In
continuation to the celebration of ongoing 29th National road safety week, a
counseling cum orientation camp for drivers was organized by Motor Vehicle
Department, in collaboration with Transport Union at General bus stand
Ramnagar, here today.
200 passengers and operators of commercial vehicles participated in the
awareness camp.
During the programme, the speakers including Tehsildar Ramnagar and
ARTO, Udhampur Kuldeep Singh, highlighted the importance of road safety and
stressed that obeying traffic rules will minimize traffic jams. He further
advised the participants to avoid over-speeding, drunken driving and using
mobile phone while driving.
Later, PSV Badge were distributed among the participants.
Among others, Executive Officer Municipality, Thakur Das, Station House
Officer, Sanjay Raina, Inspector MVD, Ranjan Singh, Inspector C.S Baloria
besides representatives of different transport unions were present on the
occasion.
