POONCH, APRIL 04: On the directions of DDC Poonch,
Mohammad Aijaz Asad, district administration today launched an extensive market
checking drive in all tehsils of the district.
Rotten eatables including vegetables and fruit were
destroyed during the drive across the
district besides an amount of rupees Rs
40,000 fine was imposed on erring traders.
Earlier legal notices were served
upon some encroachers to remove encroachments on their own.
District administration is taking
stringent measures to ensure the quality of edible items at affordable prices
to citizens and those overcharging
or violating hygiene standards will be penalised.
