BANDIPORA, APRIL 25: Department of Health and Medical Education today organized a health and screening camp at Government Higher Secondary School, Aloosa in Bandipora.
The camp was organized under Rashtriya Bal SawasthyaKaryakram (RBSK), and its objective was to spread awareness among the students and the general public regarding health-related problems, especially natal and developmental delays and disabilities.
The camp was inaugurated by MLA Bandipora Usman Majeed in the presence of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora Khursheed Ahmad Sanai, CMO Bandipoa Dr. Bilkes and other the concerned.
Highlighting the importance of the programme, the MLA stressed upon the concerned to work with added zeal for the effective implementation of the RBSK programme.
The MLA said that the health department should provide preventive and curative medical facilities to the patients at right time to curb deficiency diseases and disabilities caused due to developmental delays, which is the prime objective of the programme.
On the occasion, the DDC impressed upon concerned officers to work in cooperation for the desired outcome of the programme.He said that people should take benefit from the various health programmes and avail medical care facilities from nearby health centres. 
On the occasion, 1000 students of different institutions of Aloosa and Banlipora were screened by the experts of the department and on spot medical care and aid was provided to the patients.
The camp was attended by the Aganwardi workers, Asha workers, RBSK doctors, besides the representatives of education and other departments.
