Rahul takes jibe at MP Govt for granting posts of Minister to 'Babas'

New Delhi, Apr 5: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday took a jibe at the 'Babas' who had earlier threatened to carry out a 'Narmada Ghotala Yatra' but had a change of heart after being made ministers.

Taking to social media, Rahul, in a sarcastic comment, said, 'Baba used to say will do a great work and would bring to light the 'Narmada scam'. But only their 'maternal uncle' knows where their ultimate goals lie.'
It was a 'pun' modelled around the famous song of 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' which had Aamir Khan singing the song 'Papa kehte hain bada naam karega, beta hamaara aisa kaam karega', 'magar yeh toh koi naa jaane ke meri manzil hai Kahan'.
The sarcastic comment was made on the five 'Babas' of Madhya Pradesh who have been given posts of ministers of state by the state government.
It is notable that after the announcement of the granting of the posts to them, two of the 'Babas' have announced that the proposed 'Narmada Ghotala Rath Yatra' would not be carried out. UNI
