BANDIPORA, APRIL 25:
As a part of 29th Road Safety Week, Assistant Regional Transport Office
Bandipora today organised an awareness programme at General Bus Stand Nusoo,
Bandipora in which a good number of drivers and general public participated.
On the occasion, Assistant Regional Transport
Officer, Mohammed Mukhtar Sofi and other
speakers threw light on the key issues of safe driving. Safety stickers,
pamphlets and other print material relating to better roads
and the safe journey was also distributed.
Later a rally of maxi cabs was flagged-off by SDPO and
ARTO Bandipora, which went through the main market Bandipora and culminated at
SK Sports Stadium Bandipora, spreading the message "Sadak Suraksha- Jeevan
Raksha".
The department had organized a similar kind of
function at Taxi Stand Sumbal.
