JAMMU, APRIL 13: A nine member delegation led by Mr. Rajan Kapoor
who is President of Shree Amarnath Yatra Bhandara Organisation (SAYBO) met
Governor N. N. Vohra, Chairman of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board at the Raj
Bhavan.
The delegation appreciated the Board’s
continuing support to the Langar organisations and submitted a memorandum
relating to Yatra 2018, which included demand for opening On-Spot Registration
Counters at Pahalgam and Baltal with positioning of doctors for issuance of
Medical Certificates; acceptance of medical certificates issued by competent
doctors other than those listed by State Governments to issue Compulsory Health
Certificate; allowing Yatris registered for next date to proceed on Yatra in
case of short fall in the prescribed quota for the day; giving opportunity to desirous
organisations to provide services other than langar seva during the Yatra; more
telecom service providers in the Yatra area; tents in good shape be provided to
the Yatris; every langar organisation be provided 70 permit cards for their
workers; adequate advertisement of Yatra schedules through print and electronic
media etc.
Governor directed Sh. Umang Narula, CEO Shri
Amarnathji Shrine Board, who was present in the meeting, to look into SAYBO’s
suggestions and urged SAYBO to ensure that the Langars take all required steps
to follow the prescribed food menu and maintain cleanliness in their premises
throughout the Yatra period and at the time of winding up their establishments.
