Mumbai, Apr 12: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) rose on Thursday by 98 points to breach 34K level to 34,038
point 56 on brisk buying in
selective stocks like IT, Bankex, Capital Goods and Consumer
Durable.
The Nifty of National Stocks Exchange (NSE) too moved up by 14.25 points to 10,431.40.
The sectoral indices like IT, Bankex, Capital Goods and Consumer Durable kept the market firm for the sixth day on Thursday.
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 34,055.36 and 33,924.88 respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,437.55 and 10,395.25 respectively.
The gainers were TCS by 3.22 pc to Rs 3112.45, Infosys by 2.51 pc to Rs 1152.15, Tata Motors by 1.91 pc to Rs 362.10 and Tata Motors DVR by 1.32 pc to Rs 203.20.
The losers were Dr Reddy's Lab by 1.96 pc to Rs 2059, SBIN by 1.40 pc to Rs 253.70, Adani Ports by 1.32 pc to Rs 372.70 and Sun Pharma by 1.29 pc to Rs 514. UNI
