Kolhapur, May 10: A 42-year-old woman was killed while another was seriously injured in an accident, which occurred late last night at Central Bus Stand Area in the city.
According to Shahupuri Police, three women employed in a private hospital were way to a nearby city bus stop for returning their home after their duties when a speedy unknown car vigorously hit them.
In the incident, two women, who were identified as Alka Ramdas Gavali, resident of Subhash Nagar and Bharti Anandrao Kaingade (60) were seriously injured. They were admitted at Chhatrapati Pramila Raje Hospital where Ms Alka died during the medical treatment. The third woman, Anusaya Deelip Chile, was lucky survived from the incident.
Further investigation was underway and search operation was underway for the vehicle, police added. UNI
