SRINAGAR, MAY 09: Minister for Disaster Management, Relief
Rehabilitation and Reconstruction and Floriculture, Javaid Mustafa Mir today
toured Chadoora area and reviewed on-going developmental works being executed
by different agencies.
The Minister was accompanied by Exn, AEE PHE and officers of
different departments.
During his tour, the Minister visited PHC centre Lasjan and
inspected the facilities being provided to the patients. The Minister directed
the health officials to keep facilities available round the clock at the health
center.
He also asked them to maintain proper sanitation in and
around the health center, besides posting the adequate staff.
While inspecting the sports field in the Lasjan area, the
Minister directed the SMC commissioner Srinagar to employ de-watering pumps for
draining out the water from the field so that sports persons of the area can
resume their activities.
He also asked the concerned officers for leveling the playfield
to avoid water logging of the playing field and formulate a project report
regarding the proper drainage around the field.
To give boost to the sports culture in the state, the
Minister reiterated that government is committed to upgrade sports infrastructure
in the state, he said.
Later the Minister also visited PHC Chattergam and took stock
of construction of hospital infrastructure.
Officers present there apprised the minister that they are
committed to meet the deadline of the project and are adhering to the Detailed
Project Report (DPR).
The Minister exhorted upon the concerned agency
to complete the project in a stipulated timeframe.
