
At the Dargah, the President offered Chadar and prayed for peace, prosperity and tranquillity in the country.
The President was accompanied by state Industry Minister Rajpal Singh Shekhawat , Education Minister Vasudev Devnani and other government officials.
The President arrived here yesterday for a two-day visit with family to Jaipur and Ajmer.
He received the Bhagwad Gita from Deewan Zainul Abedin Ali Khan.
Khan said service to the nation should be the first and foremost priority and the holy book of Gita says that one should perform Karma and not desire for results.
"The gift was aimed at giving a message of harmony to the followers of all the religions in the country from the Ajmer dargah," Nasiruddin Chisti, the elder son of Khan, said.
Earlier in the day, President Kovind offered prayers at the Pushkar Sarovar. He spent ten minutes at the Pushkar Sarovar after which he left for the Brahma temple. He was accompanied by his wife and daughter.
He also met Governor Kalyan Singh at Raj Bhawan in Jaipur. Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje was also present along with senior officers of the state government at the consultations.
It was Mr Kovind's first visit to Rajasthan after becoming the President.
