Finalised; Land acquisition proceedings at 17 locations to start soon
POONCH, JUNE 30: District
Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad today stressed
upon time line completion of Rs 29 Cr Draba-Chandak 132
KV Transmission Line project terming it as crucial in addressing
power woes and shortfalls in the district.
He was reviewing
the progress on acquisition of land, survey, and initiation of work on the said
project with senior officers of PGCIL in his office chamber.
The
Project being executed by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited
involves raising of more than 17 transmission towers for 23 KM long
transmission line from Draba to Chandak. Of 23 km length of transmission line,
survey has been completed for 10.3 km and locations finalised for erecting 17
towers for which work will start in month of August 2018. Meanwhile, Indent has
also been placed in respect of Forest land and enumeration has started.
While impressing
upon senior officers of PGCIL for reviewing pace of work on the prestigious
project regularly, the DDC directed them to avoid habitations while
finalizing the alignment of the transmission line and
construction of towers to eliminate scope of any danger to human
life.
The meeting was attended by Chief Project Manager PGCIL Jammu, Executive
Engineer EM&RE, Executive Engineer System and Operator Jammu, Executive
Engineer TLCD Jammu, Executive Engineer Project Wing PDD Jammu and other
officers.
