JAMMU, JUNE 16: Deputy Chief
Minister Kavinder Gupta today said Jammu and Kashmir is an abode of peace and
tranquility where the people of different faiths are living together in harmony
and mutual brotherhood since centuries. He said the auspicious occasions like
Eid further strengthen the bonds of love and amity among different communities.
The Deputy Chief
Minister said this while greeting people on the auspicious occasion of
Eid-ul-Fitr in a programme organized by Anjuman-e-Islamia at Bhatindi here.
Wishing the
people well-being and prosperity, the Deputy CM reminded the people about the
essence of Eid-ul-Fir. He expressed the hope that the holy occasion will
strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and bring peace, prosperity and
well-being for the state and people all over the world.
He hoped that the
Eid-ul-Fitr would become the harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity for
the state and its people.
On the occasion, people also apprised him about their issues including
water scarcity, unscheduled power cuts, renovation of roads and many more
alike. He heard the grievances patiently and assured that whatever has been
brought to his notice would be taken up with the concerned authorities for
appropriate action.
