RAMBAN, JUNE 06: A gala function was organized on world environment
day, 2018 here at Government Degree College Banihal in collaboration with NCC
Unit.
Assistant Professor and Caretaker officer NCC Dr. Shafiq Ahmed Katoch and
department of Environment Sciences head Rahul Kumar (AP EVS) supervised the
event with the theme “BEAT PLASTIC POLLUTION”.
The day long activities witnessed Poster Making,
Essay Competition, Quiz & Debate competitions among the participating students.
Earlier, key note address was delivered by
Assistant Professor Sociology Ajay Kumar.
Prof. Abdul Rehman Najar, Principal of the college
exhorted upon the students to create awareness among the society regarding the
theme of this year’s Environment Day.
Prizes and certificates were also presented to the participating
students. The vote of thanks was presented by Ass Prof Mushtaq Ahmed Sohil.
