Udhampur: DDC reviews progress under Swachh Bharat Mission

UDHAMPUR, JUNE-01: District Development Commissioner,   Ravinder Kumar today chaired  a meeting to review the  progress under Swachh Bharat Mission(G)  in the district.

 The meeting discussed bottlenecks in the implementation , Geo-Tagging of works and also reviewed the MIS status and physical achievements in the implementation of mission ODF  .

  District Panchayat Officer gave a detailed power point presentation about the progress made in achieving  Open Defecation Free status for   different blocks of the district under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin).

Threadbare  discussion was held on the  issues like up-dation of Base Line Data  Server, MIS status, Geo -Tagging, status of ODF  Panchayats, pendency of IHHL units and achievements made under SBM.

Meanwhile the DDC also reviewed the Panchayat wise performance of BDOs under Swachh Bharat Mission and set the target of toilets for the current financial year.

Taking serious note of past years pendency of works under SBM, he directed the BDOs to ensure completion of all such works in a time bound manner. He instructed the BDOs   to ensure regular Panchayat wise monitoring of SBM works.

Earlier,  the DDC launched Swachh Bharat Mission Logo for Udhampur district, which was prepared by Medhavi Sharma a student  of National institute of Designing Ahmedabad. She was felicitated by the DDC on the occasion for extra ordinary contribution to Swachh Bharat Mission.

Also present were PO ICDS, Rimpy Ohri, Chief Planning Officer, Ashok Khajuria, ACD, Noor Alam, SDM Chenani, Davinder Sharma, SDM, Basant Garh, Attar Chand  AD Planning, Darshan Kumar, BDOs, of all blocks of district  Udhampur besides Panchayat Inspectors, VLWs, GRS,  Technical Experts, and field functionaries.
