VC SKUAST-J calls on Governor

SRINAGAR, JUNE 13: Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu (SKUAST-J), called on Governor N.N. Vohra, Chancellor of the University, at the Raj Bhavan today.

Dr. Sharma briefed the Governor about the schedules of the upcoming examinations and admissions to the under-graduate and post-graduate courses; academic issues and difficulties being faced because of delays in the implementation of University Council decisions at the Government level.

Governor advised the Vice Chancellor to take sustained initiatives for boosting research and extension activities for securing visible improvement in Agriculture and all its allied sectors and increasing the existing productivity levels. Regarding delays in the implementation of the University Council decisions, Governor observed that he would discuss this matter with Chief Minister.
