Jammu, July 26: State BJP Spokesperson, former Minister and MLA Priya Sethi today said that  "what Modi Govt did in four years the congress was not able to do that in last 65 years  of rule" and attacked Congress for double standards and said that the party is putting  its vested self interest over the National Interest.
Priya  Sethi said this while inaugurating  the work "Lying of tiles at Ward No:2,Julkha Mohalla,Jammu, the funds for which are released from her CDF, which  was the demand of public of the area  from a long time which she fulfilled today after inaugurating the complete work done at Julkha Mohlla, Jammu.
Newly appointed BJP state spokesperson Priya Sethi said that Congress is playing a vote bank politics  and want to come in power only but it is only  BJP party which  believed in equal development for all and Nation Building.
She said that congress was never concerned for the development of the State  particularly of Jammu area otherwise the Jammu would have never been neglected to such extent.
She further said that within a short span of less than  three years that too in coalition government, the number of development initiatives our government have taken up in the Jammu region like  Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex, Cable Car Project, Multi level parking complexes, Artificial lake, IIT, IIM  and other number of projects which were long pending demands of Jammu people and added that It was in our tenure that the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for legislators  was enhancement from Rs 1.50 crore to Rs 3 crore  and the guidelines for spending CDF have also been modified to incorporate various other social and developmental activities under the scheme like , a legislator can  utilise upto Rs 20 lakh as medical assistance, with a ceiling of Rs 10 lakh per patient, out of CDF for providing assistance to BPL patients for treatment of liver or kidney transplant, bone marrow and heart transplant, blindness and other dangerous diseases, in power infrastructure, up to Rs 1 crore that is up to 33.33 per cent of the total entitlement of the CDF could be used for strengthening of power infrastructure in the constituency, an amount up to Rs 20 lakh could be channelized out of CDF, for providing assistance to tribal and BPL population for upgradation of housing units on rolling basis, upto Rs 20 lakh could be utilised out of CDF as flexi- fund for contributing towards implementation of flagship schemes like Swachch Bharat Scheme and Development of High Density Plantation
She said that  going by the mantra of Prime Minister Narendra Modi - "Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas" adequate facilities address being provided to people in every village and town.
She  said that ultimate aim of development is to ensure that it benefits each and every individual, Irrespective of cast, creed, religion or region the development has to go and that's the objective of the central government led by dynamic person Nariendra Modi.
While speaking to gathering,Priya said that Bhartiya Janta Party is a party of Nationalists and every member of BJP will always put the National Interest first and held the flag of the Nation high till his last breath
She said that Modi government at central  have launched women specific schemes which are helping women folk in setting up their individual units, start new ventures, apprised women police stations and number of other schemes related to welfare of women in particular and Central government has also launched a series of welfare schemes benefitting the weaker sections of the society.
A  number of welfare schemes have been launched keeping in view the interests of women, youth and farmers, and she called on people to come forward and take benefit of these schemes.
Among others present included,  Ramesh Gupta, Ravi Thakur, Lalit Sharma Sudhir Anand, Ram Prasad, Ajeash Sharma, Nittu Gupta, Sat Pal Rathore, Sunny Sehgal, Ved Padha, Dawarka Nagh, Harbins Singh, Neeru Anand,Savita Anand, Darshana Devi, Sharda Devi, Kripta Devi, Pooja Poonam, Manju Dogra etc
Later, the MLA interacted with the  people of the area who praised her for timely  development and she listened to the problems being faced by the people and assured early resolution of the genuine demand.
