Jammu, July 26: BJP State Local bodies cell Convenor, Deepak Gupta along with Co-Convenor Sudhir Jamwal and Malvinder Singh (Shanty) met former- deputy Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Kavinder Gupta at BJP State head quarter at Trikuta Nagar and put forth their demand for the delimitation of Municipal wards before the elections of Municipal Corporation Jammu. BJP State Press Secretary Dr. Pardeep Mahotra was also present in the meeting.

Kavinder Gupta, while giving a patient hearing to the leaders, assured them said that he will take up the issue with Hon’ble Governor of the state for inclusion of the areas for which the Local Bodies has already submitted a memorandum. He said that the genuine concern of adding the areas to the Municipality will be taken up by the party at every appropriate level. He said that this will help in the increased pace of development in the earmarked areas.

In the Meeting, the strategy for the forthcoming elections was also discussed. Gupta said the party will work as per the expectations of the people and hoped that the workers would act to bridge to gap between the party and the people so that an effective feedback is obtained about the policies and programmes of the party. He said We don’t want common people to face day to day problems.

Gupta emphasised on working hard to reach out the people and bring them into the party fold. He directed the party workers to listen to the grievances of the people and forward the same to the party high command. BJP is committed to address their grievances and genuine issues through proper channel. He said “BJP has introduced dozens of centrally sponsored schemes for the welfare of general public. You should spread the awareness about these schemes among the people, so that maximum people are benefitted from the schemes,”. He further expressed hope that the meetings be arranged at booth level on weekly basis so as to strengthen the party at gross root level.

The Meeting was attended by State library Incharge Kulbhushan Mohtra, State Executive Body Member Parneesh Mahajan, Mandal President Ankush Gupta, Shushpal singh,, Sunny Gupta, Naresh among others.
