JAMMU,
JULY 04: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma
today visited Mubarak Mandi to take stock of the restoration work here at the
Dogra heritage Complex.
He
inspected the pace of work and sought details about the status work of the
works from the concerned functionaries.
Executive
Director Mubarak Mandi Heritage Society Sham Lal and officials of ASI were also
present on the occasion.
The
Div Com directed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI)- the executing agency
to take care of the original architectural features of the royal complex while
executing the renovation work. “Special care is to be taken to maintain the
glory of this precious heritage” he asserted.
He
directed the concerned functionaries to speed up the pace to avoid further
delay in the completion of the work on the heritage site- which is expected to
become a major tourist attraction of Jammu city.
Meanwhile,
the Div Com directed the concerned for taking appropriate measures to restrict
the entry of unauthorized persons and vehicles in the complex.
Later,
the Div Com also convened a meeting to review the financial and physical
progress and deliberated on allied issues.
A power point presentation was given during the
meeting about the work done by ASI.
