KUPWARA, JULY 17: The education department in
collaboration with district administration Kupwara today organized a programme
for the distribution of wheelchairs and tricycles among specially-abled
children in DC office Complex Kupwara.
The
four-day camp was inaugurated by Additional District Development
Commissioner Kupwara, Mohammad Yousuf Mir. On the occasion, 157 equipment were
distributed among various specially-abled children.
Among others,
Chief Education Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, and other officers
were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, ADDC said that Specially-abled children
deserve equal care as any other children for their growth and development. He
further said that Provided opportunities and proper facilities, specially-abled
children can realize their dreams and aspirations like any other person and
there are ample examples to substantiate this fact.
