Jammu, July 13: The BJP has accused Congress of creating a fear
psychosis among the minorities with the hope of winning their vote in 2019
elections. The “Hindu Pakistan” remark of its Lok Sabha MP and ex-minister
Shashi Tharoor is highly objectionable and against the basic spirit of Indian
democracy and aims at defaming Hindus. It is manifestation of the Congress
Party’s ideology of divisive politics which it has been resorting to in the
past as well.
“The
remark of Shashi Tharoor is part of a well- planned strategy of Congress to
garner the minority vote and has the approval of Congress President Rahul
Gandhi. With the so-called Third Front declining to include Congress, the
imminent extinction of the party in 2019 is haunting the Gandhis and they can
through theircronies stoop down to any level. The remark was made just prior to
a meeting of Congress President with a Muslim delegation whom Rahul told that
“Congress was a pro-Muslim party”, accused Brig Anil Gupta, State Spokesperson
in a press statement released here by the party today.
“Congress
has mastered the art of divisive politics. Not only Hindus versus minorities
but Hindus versus Hindus has been the strategy of Congress party dating back to
Indira era. Not satisfied by religious divide the Hindus have been divided on
caste and community basis by the Congress. Congress has neglected the Hindus
during its six-decade rule because of the appeasement policy adopted by it”,
said Brig Gupta.
“In
2014 election, Congress leadership had tried to demean and defame the Hindusand
appease Pakistan by coining the term “Hindu Terror”. However, its hope of
getting the consolidated Muslim vote was dashed to the ground when the people
out rightly rejected the party. This time again the desperate attempt of
Congress to scare the Muslims against a Hindu onslaught is not going to succeed
because the Muslims have become aware of their exploitation by Congress merely
to garner votes,” said Brig
Gupta.
“Congress
needs to accept the fact that it no longer is considered as a viable
alternative by the voters. It is considered as a party of corrupt, selfish,
haughty, scandalous and looser leaders. The desperate attempt by Rahul to
project a pro-Hindu image has been rejected by the electorate both in Gujarat
and Karnataka. Seeing the future bleak, Congress has returned to its
time-tested strategy of divisive politics,” accused the spokesperson.
BJP believes in Sab KaSaath Sab KaVikas and has rolled out more than 150
schemes for the benefit of all segments of society without any religious bias.
The eight-point development model of Modi government is also based on equal
opportunities for all. BJP aspires for Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat. “The New
India 2022 vision of PM Modi and BJP envisages India free from poverty,
corruption, terrorism, communalism, casteism , uncleanliness and a
united country,” reminded Brig Gupta to the proponents of divisive
politics.
