Showkat Aijaz Bhat assumes charge as DDC Shopian

Holds introductory meeting with officers

SHOPIAN, JULY 09:  Showkat Aijaz Bhat today assumed charge of District Development Commissioner, Shopian with a pledge to ensure that administration will be accessible to common people.

On the occasion DDC said that he will try his best to make the district Shopian a model district in the State.

Later DDC took an introductory meeting with all district and sectoral officers of the district.

On the occasion, the DDC stressed upon concerned officers to execute the ongoing works within stipulated timeframe without any delay and create durable and tangible assets of public utility for sustainable development. The officers were asked to work with added zeal and dedication and in close coordination for the development of the district. He further said that any laxity in this regard shall be dealt strictly.

DDC also directed all the officers to immediately install biometric attendance devices so that the online monitoring of the staff is ensured. The late-arriving staff members were warned of strict action and were asked to reach office on time maintaining punctuality and discipline in future. He also directed the officers not to leave the station without prior permission and to maintain the movement registers for the tours and field visits.
