Jammu, July 25: BJP State General Secretary, Yudhvir Sethi leading various deputations, called upon Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma to present their issues. While deputations of Sports and Bus Stand Association to the Div. Com. he represented their issues and pressed for the early redressal of the same.
Yudhvir narrated the woes faced by the elite sports persons particularly from the field of Football and fencing. The Div. Com. was told that the sportspersons of the state are facing lot of hardships due to the non-availability for various resources. They said that even the proper place for carrying out the practice of the game is not available. They pleaded that the state of J&K has a lot of potential for fetching the glittering metal in sports but at least they must be provided with the basic infrastructure. Players demanded a dedicated earmarked space for their practice sessions.
Yudhvir also presented the case of Bus Stand Association of Jammu and represented their tale of horrors in front of Div. Com. He said that the entire livelihood of Rehri-Fari, Shopkeepers, Tour & Travel Agencies, Transporters and several others allied people is dependent on the functioning of Bus Stand. He said that the continuous hustle bustle by the tourists from across the Nation gives a sense of liveliness to the place as well as means of business. He told the Div. Com that they have been given the notice to vacate the place which will adversely affect the living cycle of the people. The Association led by Yudhvir Sethi, requested the Div. Com. to look into the matter.
Div. Com. gave patient hearing to the deputations being headed by BJP State General Secretary and assured that he will surely look into the matter and come up with a practical solution so that the issues of both the deputations will be addressed promptly.
