Jammu, Sept 11: On the insistence of local inhabitants of Raghunath Bazar area and people and traders living in the vicinity of Nau Gaj Peer, Gummat, Hari Market, Lower Gummat, Upper Gummat and Maheshi Gate, the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today removed the small gate installed on rear end of JMC complex thereby giving people a thorough passage for their convenience.
A deputation led by BJP General Secretary Yudhvir Sethi also met  Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and thanked him for removing the gate to allow free movement of pedestrians and two wheelers. He said that this was a long pending demand of local inhabitants and by removing the gate JMC has done a good job in helping people of the area.
Yudhvir Sethi led delegation which met the JMC commissioner also said that by opening the passage distance to some important destinations for people will be lessened and during some odd hours they can also carry their patients to the hospitals located on the other side of the city bus stand.
The BJP leader said that this was a long pending demand of local inhabitants who wanted this to be a thorough fare. The deputation on meeting the JMC commissioner they said that this passage was through since ages but some officials had installed a Rotary Gate to block the free movement of pedestrians. They thanked Commissioner and said that this move will help the local businessmen, vendors and even the inhabitants in carry on with your routine activities.
Government Medical College hospital, Super speciality hospital and Shalamar Hospital besides all other markets and bus stand has now become approachable for local inhabitants and the thanked JMC for their this move which was pending since long.

KARGIL, Aug 9: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State General Secretary and BJP’s Incharge for Ladakh Region, Yudhvir Sethi today launched social media campaign for Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil which is going to polls on August 27 where BJP candidates have filed their nomination papers. While launching the campaign those present on the occasion were urged to reach out to masses and make them aware of programmes and policies of party that are aimed at developing hilly areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi said ever since BJP came to power, special focus has remained on Ladakh region where Prime Minister Narendra Modi intends to build an all-weather road that will make the region connected to rest of world round the year. The project has been given a go ahead and work is going to commence and even completed in record period.
He said people of Kargil have contributed a lot during Kargil war and deserve what's due to them in shape of better infrastructure and other developmental activities. He said victory of BJP candidates in LAHDC Kargil will be the victory of people who will be writing their fate themselves.
Appreciating the youth of Kargil and party workers for launching social media campaign on different social networking sites, the BJP general secretary said this medium is best to reach people at large and they can be made aware of programmes of party as well.
He asked party workers to work hard and strengthen BJP so that a credible government and other institutions are set up in Jammu and Kashmir which has been condemned by previous governments for their vested interests.

BJP State State Social Media & IT, Jaidev Rajwal also deliberated the BJP activists on the various technical facts on the matter. He threw light on proper way to use social media and for utilizing it the maximum extent in the elections to secure win for the party. Jammu, Aug 03: In monthly meeting of BJP District Jammu, former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, BJP State General Secretary Yudhvir Sethi, BJP Mahila Morcha State President Rajni Sethi, MLA East Rajesh Gupta and District President Baldev Singh Billawaria addressed party workers at BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar.
Kavinder Gupta, while addressing the party workers, termed booth as the basic unit of organization and exhorted all the party workers to activate booth workers in the district. He asked them to start preparations for the Panchayat and Urban Local Body elections in the state. He prompted the party leaders to carry the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government at the Centre to every corner of the region and assure the common masses that BJP will always work to uplift the status of masses while keeping stress on “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas” policy.
Yudhvir Sethi, while addressing the party workers, asked the party leaders to strengthen the organizational base in the district. He asked the leaders to reach up to every prominent person of the society to garner support for the party in approaching elections. He also asked them to induct more youth into the party at local level to infuse young energy to take the BJP’s mission forward.
Rajni Sethi, while addressing the party workers, particularly touched the cause of women on the society. She said that despite the added load of family on the shoulders of women, the women in the present time have established themselves.
Baldev Singh Billawaria, in his Presidential address, discussed various organizational and development tasks undertaken by the District leaders. He also raised certain issues in front of senior leaders of the party. While thanking all the leaders for attending the meeting, he stated that the public will vote in favour of BJP in the approaching elections

Jammu, July 25: BJP State General Secretary, Yudhvir Sethi leading various deputations, called upon Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma to present their issues. While deputations of Sports and Bus Stand Association to the Div. Com. he represented their issues and pressed for the early redressal of the same.
Yudhvir narrated the woes faced by the elite sports persons particularly from the field of Football and fencing. The Div. Com. was told that the sportspersons of the state are facing lot of hardships due to the non-availability for various resources. They said that even the proper place for carrying out the practice of the game is not available. They pleaded that the state of J&K has a lot of potential for fetching the glittering metal in sports but at least they must be provided with the basic infrastructure. Players demanded a dedicated earmarked space for their practice sessions.
Yudhvir also presented the case of Bus Stand Association of Jammu and represented their tale of horrors in front of Div. Com. He said that the entire livelihood of Rehri-Fari, Shopkeepers, Tour & Travel Agencies, Transporters and several others allied people is dependent on the functioning of Bus Stand. He said that the continuous hustle bustle by the tourists from across the Nation gives a sense of liveliness to the place as well as means of business. He told the Div. Com that they have been given the notice to vacate the place which will adversely affect the living cycle of the people. The Association led by Yudhvir Sethi, requested the Div. Com. to look into the matter.
Div. Com. gave patient hearing to the deputations being headed by BJP State General Secretary and assured that he will surely look into the matter and come up with a practical solution so that the issues of both the deputations will be addressed promptly.

Yudhvir Sethi said proposed Zojilla Tunnel, mega bridges, ring roads, lifts and cable car projects are all coming up in Jammu and Kashmir State besides architects and mechanical engineers are designing houses on CADD and even in medical profession this software is being used to design artificial limbs. Now that CADD centre has come up in Udhampur it is hoped that more and more students and technocrats will be benefited.
Yudhvir Sethi added that fee structure should be reasonable besides concessional for students of colleges so that more and more people are enrolled for specialised courses. He said CADD designed project reports should also be displaced for people's viewing so that they can get to know how the software helps in building everything precisely. Hiranagar BJP workers' meet

JAMMU, May 9: BJP Vice President, Yudhvir Sethi today said historically rich Jammu has many temples, palaces, water bodies and buildings that if developed can become places of attractions for visitors from all over the country. He added that work on many such projects of importance is already going on and their completion will pave way for state to welcome tourists in a big way. 
Yudhvir Sethi was addressing a gathering during annual bhandara organized by Mohalla welfare committee at historic Ramtalai Temple. He participated in the religious function where after traditional prayers community meal was served. 'Asian softball championship'

JAMMU, April 9: BJP State Vice President Yudhvir Sethi today felicitated Anukul Bhagat for his selection in softball India team and said that Jammu boys and girls have been doing exceptionally good in sports and need all Kinds of encouragement.
He said it's a matter of proud that youngsters of Jammu and Kashmir are playing international cricket, climbing mountains, playing judo karate and now this representation of Jammu boy in Asian event is also laudable.
Anukul Bhagat who wes selected after tough trials will be participating in 10th senior men's softball Asian championship scheduled to be held at Indonesia, Jakarta from 23rd April to 28th April 2018. Speaking while felicitating Anukul, Yudhvir Sethi said softball game is Dr. Dashrath Mal Mehta's contribution to India. It was because of hi relentless efforts that thsi sport after getting introduced in Rajasthan spread in rest of the country enabling children to participate national as well as international events.
Yudhvir Sethi while wishing Anukul good luck in his matches said that softball teaches discipline, spirit, accuracy and teamwork. He alongwith his party functionaries honoured Anukul for making into India team and hoped that entire team will display finest of displine in winning games for country. BJP's March 11 Rally will be befitting reply to 'politics of hatred'

Jammu, Mar 10: 'Terribly shaken by its humiliating defeats and lost grounds in various states, Congress now is trying to vitiate peaceful atmosphere in Jammu and Kashmir State to gain foothold. Its because of wrong policies of successive Congress regimes that country witnessed riggingin in polls, corruption in governance, communal hatret in states, division in votes and freebies while squeezing tax payers. It was these wrong policies that the party is on it's last leg now'.
This was stated by Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice President Yudhvir Sethi while addressing an impressive gathering at Jewel Chowk today. Old City  traders accuse traffic authorities of harassment
Jammu, March 05: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice President Yudhvir Sethi today joined shopkeepers and owners of other businesses including small time vendors in Old city are in protesting against what they called dictatorial attitude of Traffic authorities. The protestors alleged that their articles were destroyed and damaged by the traffic authorities during routine checking. 
The businessmen and traders of Old City informed Yudhvir Sethi that the traffic officials not only damaged their articles but also abused and assaulted them. They said that this dictatorial attitude of traffic authoriries was hampering their livelihood. They demanded that traffic authoriries must manage their own affairs and leave the work of JMC to its officials. 
After listening to the grievances of protesting traders and businessmen, Yudhvir Sethi said that government will not tolerate such attitude of officials towards its own people and said that the matter will be taken up with higher authoriries. He asked JMC to first identify special sites for PhariWallas (vendors) and then deal with them accordingly onky if they are occupying roads or carriageways. 
He asked traffic authorities to not to harass vendors and businessmen in  Old Jammu City and if they have any issue, the matter can be taken up with elected representatives of Businessmen of all important bazars. However, harassing the traders without any provocation or abusing them will not be tolerated. Yudhvir Sethi assured the protesting traders that their issues will he taken up with higher authoriries that ensured that no one harases them. 
Earlier the traders raised slogans against the traffic authorities and warned them to not to interfere in other departments. They said that those working in Old City for the last over fifty years have never been treated in such a shabby manner and said that they are in no way hampering any traffic or encriacing upon any carriageway.

UDHAMPUR, Nov 21: Scared of rising popularity of BJP government at the Centre and coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir State, National Conference (NC) chief Farooq Abdullah is speaking ill against RSS only to mislead masses. To regain his party's lost ground he is now misleading people by his rhetorics and has even went ahead to distort facts about RSS and the constructive role it plays in uniting India".
This was stated by BJP Vice President Yudhvir Sethi while replying to queries of media persons after attending Saptah meeting organised by Dinesh Bharti at Udhampur today. He said RSS ever since its existence had been uniting countrymen with mainstream and trying to remember sacrifices of hundreds of unsung heroes of India's Independence war against Britishers.
RSS, he added was never and can never be against anyone but is trying to unite country. Now that a system of good governance has been established in J&K State, NC is feeling threatened. To keep their flock together, NC Chief and his son are trying to issue baseless statements, Yudhvir Sethi said.
He said Farooq Abdullah is a failed leader who spoiled the state and its composite culture. It was because of his non-serious attitude that his government was dismissed twice that led to imposition of Governor Rule in J&K putting democracy on back burner.
Politicians like him played with sentiments of people and only instigated youth when not in power to cross over to Pakistan and seek arms training. Those anti-nationals statements and gestures aggravated deteriorating situation in J&K and even collapsed our economy which was quite unfortunate.
It's this Abdullah Dynasty or its three generations who had always been speaking one thing in Delhi, another in Jammu and different in Srinagar just to exploit people's sentiments and grab power. Yudhvir Sethi said that Farooq Abdullah also raises autonomy issue and even appointed Dr Karan Singh as chairman of State Autonomy Committee. Unfortunately even Dr Karan Singh resigned from the post and that report never saw light of the day.
Instead of performing to the best satisfaction of people and percolating democracy to the grass root level by holding elections to Panchayats and Municipalities besides local bodies NC and its Chief Farooq Abdullah always confused people by raising unproductive issues like that of autonomy or Pre-53 statuses - moves that have lost all relevancies.   
Farooq Abdullah who is accusing RSS was once part of BJP government at the Centre. Back home he and his son encouraged corruption and pushed the state towards complete anarchy. Now that BJP and PDP are doing well NC Is not able to digest a transparent and accountable government which is sensitive to people's issues.

Earlier Dinesh Bharti recited Ram Katha and asked devotees to work for upliftment of downtrodden. He also asked people to unite India and work towards strengthening it without cast, creed, region or religion.

Jammu, Nov 16: BJP Vice President Yudhvir Sethi today said that matter pertaining to development of exclusive play grounds for football would be taken up with State Sports Council so that players could practise uninterruptedly.
He said that existing grounds where footballers do practice will also be got maintained for enabling players to carry on with their routine matches ably. He was speaking after felicitating new team of Jammu District Football Association who had called on him today.

Yudhvir Sethi said that this particular sport is gaining popularity in our state and more and more youth must be encouraged to take up football professionally.
Congratulation new team, the BJP leader said even Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his radio programme "Mann Ki Baat" had mentioned about football and congratulated junior Indian footballers for having plate FIFA matches or the first time.
He also wished good luck to the new team for their coming two tournaments which are going to be held in Jammu and hoped they bring laurels.

Earlier, the association members apprised Yudhvir Sethi of some issues pertaining to sports council and sought their redressal. The Association members also demanded that ground of sports councils should be improved with facilities for players.
