Jammu, Aug 29: It is indeed amusing that with each passing day, the lust for chair among the Congress leaders is escalating and they are day- dreaming of coming to power again, forgetting that they have been consigned to oblivion by the people of Jammu and Kashmir, like in other parts of the country.
Reacting to the recent claim of one of the senior leader & former Minister from Jammu that “Congress will form next government in State,” BJP State Spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, termed it as an attempt to keep the party men together so that their cadre do not disintegrate and leave them high and dry at this stage when the Congress boat has already capsized.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that the Congress leader should read the writing on the wall and accept the ground realities instead of making extravagant claims to befool the people and own party men.
The Spokesperson said that Congress ruled for decades and it had become addicted to enjoying power and pelf. Today its leaders cannot accept the fact that their days of power are over as the people have totally rejected them.
Balbir said that it is known to one and all that Congress has been facing defeats from 2014 onwards and one after the other State has rejected it but still its leaders are still dreaming of coming back, which would remain a dream in perpetually.
“Congress is fast relegating into the pages of history and those dreaming of its revival are deceiving themselves”, Balbir said and added that better the Congress leaders accept that their downfall cannot be undone and there is no one to fall for their claims and slogans.
Balbir said gone are the days when people were not aware that Congress only promoted dynastic rule, corruption, nepotism and what not? Today people have found more reliable option in BJP and hence displaying their faith in its programmes and policies, which are framed keeping in view the true welfare and concern of nation, its people and providing corruption free good governance.
