ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 04: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan
today chaired a meeting of officers here at Dak Bungalow Khanabal to review the
pace and position of various developmental projects undertaken by different
executing agencies in district Kulgam.
The meeting was attended by District Development
Commissioner Kulgam Dr Shamim Ahmad Wani, ADDC Khawaja Nazir Ahmad, Chief
engineer R&B,SEs, Exens, CPO and District and sectoral officers of District
Kulgam.
On the occasion, the DDC presented a detailed
account of various developmental works under different sectors through a power
point presentation. He briefed the chair about the physical and financial
achievements made under different schemes and flagship programmes in the
district. It was given out in the meeting that
out of approved Capex budget of 132.15 crore, 17.43 crore
has been expended out of available amount of 24.47 crore.
It was also given out in the meeting that under
PMGSY 13 projects are under execution
with an estimate cost of 89.91 crore with road length of 79.26 kilo meters out
of which 7 projects to be completed in current fiscal.
Div Com was also briefed that
out of 6 major bridges 5 are at different stages of development and one
completed at cost of 3.82 crores. Further he was informed that
IPD block of District hospital Kulgam is also near to completion.
It was also added that for youth engagement
programmes recently sports action plan was infuriated and district will buzz
with different sports activities and for strengthening sports infrastructure
116 play fields will be developed upto ending September.
Speaking on the occasion, Divisional Commissioner
stressed for strengthening public delivery system for the overall betterment of
the people. He emphasized upon all the officers to work diligently for the
early completion of all the components of the projects.
He also stressed for early mitigation of public grievances.
