Congress
a double standard party: Kavinder Gupta
Jammu,
Oct 02: Former Deputy Chief Minister and MLA Gandhi Nagar,
Kavinder Gupta along with BJP state Chief and MLA Ravinder Raina continued with
campaign for BJP candidates contesting from Gandhi Nagar Constituency. The Leaders
addressed a series of public meetings at Gangyal, Bahu Fort area, Kunjwani
area, Digiana, Jeevan Nagar, and Gandhi Nagar. Addressing gathering at Gangyal
ward 56 from where Baldev Bilowria is contesting the elections Ravinder Raina
Lambasted Congress by saying that the party campaigners are trying to befool
the voters. He said after BJP came to power scores of schemes launched by
Government of India have been launched and are successfully reaching to the
last man. He said BJP is not like other parties who are corrupt from nerves and
they have earned lot money during their UPA government. The state congress
leaders especially the former cabinet minister and MLA from this constituency
have accumulated the wealth worth several crores he said. BJP works for the
people and appealed to public to vote in favour of the dedicated social worker
Baldev Bilowria to strengthen the hands of Kavinder Gupta so that the works
assigned to the local bodies are executed with honesty. He appreciated the works
done worth several crores in the ward and congratulated the Public for the
same. Kavinder Gupta in his address said during his tenure he had tried his
best for the development works and other projects. He said the major projects
executed in this area such as up gradation of 10 MVA substation to 20 MVA, Deep
drain in the area which was the cause of flood during the rains in the area,
100 bedded hospital building in Rajiv Gandhi hospital. Nursing College, park
adjoining the canal, besides up gradation of transformers and many places and
water pipe line lying, up gradation of Lanes and drains and many more. Gupta
criticized Kavinder Gupta criticised congress for its double standard on the
matter of reservation of women reservation bill in the parliament and state
legislatures. Today it is the result of the women reservation bill that in the
JMC elections 33 percent seats have been reserved for the women. “This shows
the double standard of Congress as it is in alliance with those who opposed the
legislation,” he said. He said again in the state double standard of congress
have been witnessed , where on one hand they are siding with the parties in
Kashmir opposing and boycotting the local bodies elections and in Jammu they
are contesting the elections. Had they been serious to delegate the enactment
of local regulations to local authorities they would have conducted the Local bodies’
elections in the state. He criticised the former MLA from Gandhi Nagar to play
with the sentiments of the public just to garner the votes. But the works done
during my tenure are in front of the public and they really know, what the
development is who has done it on grounds. He appealed the Gathering to vote in
the favour of BJP from every ward and ensure the victory with huge margin and
strengthen the party. The gathering was addressed by Baldev Bilowria, Vinay
Gupta, and B.S Baagi
