‘RADMS to help minimize road accidents’
SRINAGAR, JUNE 14: Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today reviewed the Road Accident Data Management System (RADMS) being developed by the Motor Vehicles Department.
          Transport Commissioner J&K Saugat Biswas and developers from NIELIT gave a detailed presentation on the RADMS.
Road Accident Data Management System (RADMS) is being developed by MVD which will do a real time tracking and reporting of all road accidents in the state.
It was informed that NIELIT has been given the task to develop the RADMS which will be operated through a mobile android/iOS interface. This application will be made available with the field police and Motor Vehicle Inspectors from where on-spot reports will be registered and authenticated.
                The extensive data feeding will be done on the system in addition to the field reports; the Transport Commissioner informed the Deputy Chief Minister who is also holding the charge of Transport Department.
          He further informed that RADMS will help the various stakeholders in the government, be it the MVD, Traffic Police, R&B, NHAI and Health department to utilize the data regarding accidents, which will further help in identification of black spots for subsequent rectification.
          ‘RADMS with its more than 160 reports will help in scientific analysis of the cases of accidents for redressal by the various stakeholders’, he added.
          Discussing the use of RADMS, the Deputy Chief Minister said that this initiative would surely be prove beneficial to save the lives of people in the road accidents by reaching to them with medical aid and other kind of help well in time. He further said that the reports generated from the accident spots using all minute details would also help in identification of black spots and getting all the things causing accidents rectified.
          “Use of technology in today’s world is very common and MVD should also adopt latest technological advancements to put a check on increasing road accidents to further save the human lives”, Kavinder said.
          Transport Commissioner informed the Deputy Chief Minister that developers from NIELIT are at the final stage of developing the RADMS application and soon it will be launch in the state.

SRINAGAR, MAY 25: Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (SSB) today announced a change in some test venues for candidates appearing in the objective written test on May 27, 2018, for the posts of General Teacher under district cadre Anantnag, Srinagar, Budgam, and Baramulla.
Accordingly, centres located at GEMS Public School Bijbehara, Anantnag and Shahi-Hamdan College of Education Siligam, K.P. Road, Anantnag have been shifted to South Campus, University of Kashmir, High Ground- Fatehgarh, Anantnag.
Similarly, centres earlier located at Islamia College of Science & Commerce, Srinagar and Government MPML Higher Secondary School, Bagh-e-Dillawar Khan, Baba Demb, Srinagar have been shifted to University of Kashmir, Hazratbal, Srinagar. While the centre at MET BaghatBarzulla, Srinagar has been shifted to Delhi Public School, PanthaChowk, Srinagar.
Whereas, Boys Polytechnic College, Gogjibagh Srinagar centre has been shifted to Government College for Women, M.A Road, Srinagar, centre at NIELIT, Rangreth, Budgam to Bright Horizon Higher Secondary School Humhama Budgam and SSM Engineering College, Parihaspora, Baramulla to SRM Welkin Higher Secondary School Sopore, Baramulla.
Also, centre at Government Higher Secondary School Palhalan, Baramulla has been shifted to Pioneer Institute of Learning, National Highway, Hanjiweera Pattan Baramulla, while the centre at MTM, B.Ed College, Tangmarg, Baramulla shall be read as MTM, B.Ed College, Kwarhama Baramulla.
According to SSB, Admit Cards already downloaded by the candidates would be valid for the new centres. However, the timing of examination is fixed at 12 pm to 2 pm and reporting time at exam centre is 11 am.

SRINAGAR, MAY 18: The candidates appearing in the Objective Type Written Test for the posts of General Teachers on May 20, 2018 are intimated that the candidates taking up the exam in Government MPML Higher Secondary School, Bagh-e-Delawar Khan, Baba Damb, Srinagar (Centre Code 8113) has been shifted to University of Kashmir, Hazratbal, Srinagar. 
Likewise, the students taking up the exam in Government Degree College, Paloura, previously functioning at old Engineering college near Commerce College, Jammu (Centre Code 9022) will read the address of the centre as Government Degree College, Paloura, Mishriwala, Jammu.      
The centre located in Public High School, Baramulla (Centre Code 8302) has been shifted to Government College for Women, Baramulla and the centre located in NIELIT, Rangreth Budgam (Centre Code 8210) has been shifted to Bright Horizon Higher Secondary School, Humhama Budgam.
The candidates are intimated to visit SSB website for checking the notification issued in this regard.

SRINAGAR, MAY 08: Jammu and Kashmir Skill Development Mission (JKSDM) conducted the state-level skill competitions at Srinagar for selecting candidates who will participate in regional and national competitions leading to the World Skills Competition-Russia 2019.
JKSDM received more than 700 applications in different 12 skill categories for the competitions which were held in Srinagar and Jammu from May 6 to 8, 2018.
Minister of IT, Technical and Higher Education Molvi Imran Raza Ansari said, “Our endeavor is to provide the youth of J&K with opportunities to grow and excel. We have started many programmes to promote the talent of the youth and organizing such competitions, will provide our youth much-needed exposure to exhibit their skills.”
Mission Director, JKSDM Dr. Peer GN Suhail said, “It is the first time our state has actively participated in the India Skills Competition and we are hopeful that the selected candidates will put up a good performance in the next levels of the competition”.
The result of the state level competitions will be declared during the TALAASH-Skill & Entrepreneurship Conclave, which is going to be held on 12th and 13th May 2018 in Srinagar. Apart from the cash prizes, the winner and the runner-up candidates will proceed for the regional level skill competitions to be held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
JKSDM organized the State-level Skill Competitions in collaboration with NIT- Srinagar, IHM -Srinagar, Central University, Jammu, NIELIT-Jammu, SSMD-Baramulla and Arena Animation.
