NOVEMBER 08- Deputy Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly, Nazir Ahmed Khan
Gurezi today chaired a joint meeting of officers of various departments to
review the status and progress on construction of new Legislature complex here.
Gurezi took detailed review of the status of work and asked the
executing agency to expedite the pace of work ensuring its timely completion.
He asked the concerned to work in coordination and remove the bottlenecks, if
any, impending the work.
“JKPCC,
Finance and other Departments should coordinate and sort-out the technical
problems and complete the process for release of funds so that the remaining
work of the complex would be completed in a time bound manner” he
directed.
The state-of-the-art complex is being constructed at an estimate cost
of Rs 193 crore.
Giving details of pending work, Managing Director, JKPCC said that the
pending work would likely be completed within the stipulated time.
The meeting was attended by the Commissioner Secretary, PWD (R&B)
Sanjeev Verma, Secretary Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Majid
Bhat, Secretary Planning, Mohammad Salim Shishgar, General Manager, JKPCC,
Jammu Javaid Iqbal, Managing Director, JKPCC, Daleep Thusoo and Joint Director
Finance Department, Showkat Hussain Mir and senior officers of Assembly
Secretariat.
