SRINAGAR, JUNE 19: Deputy Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Nazir Ahmad Gurezi today convened a meeting to review the pace of developmental projects and impediment, if any, in Gurez constituency.
Regarding Khandyal–Athwatu road, Gurezi asked the Forest, BEACON and R&B Departments to immediately conduct a survey for fixing up the alignment. He also asked the DFO Bandipora to work on those stretches of Gurez road where there is no forest cover.
To ascertain that the Acchura – Byepass road gets completed within a stipulated period of time, he said that road widening needs to take up at earliest. In this regard, he asked the authorities to submit the detailed project report to the concerned quarters within a month to seek necessary sanction for early start of the construction work of this project.
The Deputy Speaker also discussed various issues related to road connectivity in Kashpat – Rufugee, Achura – Chak, Kisar –Athwatu road. The Deputy Speaker also sought status of forest clearance of proposed road projects.
While taking stock of the progress of Bandipora - Chakwali road, the Deputy Speaker asked the R&B officials to speed up the pace of work on this project and complete it as early as possible.
The Deputy Speaker further directed the concerned to macadamize at least 15 km road length in Tehsil Gurez including Tulail upto Neeru till August this year.
He also asked the concerned officials to grant funds for the completion of bridges at Danvar and Dangibal and sanction the grants for the land acquisition at Budugam link road, Bukhtar – Dangan-Rufugee road, Khotrun link road and Sheikhpora road.
The meeting was attended by the Director PWD, DFO, Bandipora, S.E, R&B and officials from BECON, Forest and R&B departments.
Later, Deputy Speaker also convened a meeting of Legislators representing SC/ST and OBC, in which discussion was held on reservation of SC/ST/OBC promotion quota in the state.
During the meeting various other issues were also discussed regarding the uplift of the category in the state.

 JAMMU, NOVEMBER 08- Deputy Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly, Nazir Ahmed Khan Gurezi today chaired a joint meeting of officers of various departments to review the status and progress on construction of new Legislature complex here.
Gurezi took detailed review of the status of work and asked the executing agency to expedite the pace of work ensuring its timely completion. He asked the concerned to work in coordination and remove the bottlenecks, if any, impending the work.
 “JKPCC, Finance and other Departments should coordinate and sort-out the technical problems and complete the process for release of funds so that the remaining work of the complex would be completed in a time bound manner he directed.  
          The state-of-the-art complex is being constructed at an estimate cost of Rs 193 crore.
          Giving details of pending work, Managing Director, JKPCC said that the pending    work would likely be completed within the stipulated time.

          The meeting was attended by the Commissioner Secretary, PWD (R&B) Sanjeev Verma, Secretary Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Majid Bhat, Secretary Planning, Mohammad Salim Shishgar, General Manager, JKPCC, Jammu Javaid Iqbal, Managing Director, JKPCC, Daleep Thusoo and Joint Director Finance Department, Showkat Hussain Mir and senior officers of Assembly Secretariat.

Revives construction works under PMGSY in Gurez constituency
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 15: To ascertain the status of construction works construct under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in Gurez constituency, the Deputy Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Nazir Ahmed Khan Gurezi today convened a high-level meeting with the officers of Forest Department and Engineers of PMGSY.
The Deputy Speaker stressed upon the concerned executing agencies to take up the matter with the Forest authority for forest clearance required for construction of roads on on Safada of Marnu- Road  Dangithal PTL  Road, Guran- Anblian road and  Basgai- Kaspat
Terming better road connectivity backbone of the development, Mr. Gurazi said that to avoid inconveniences faced by the people live in these far off areas get during winter season concrete measures should be taken.

The Meeting was attended by the Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Dr. Mohit Gera, Executive Engineer, PIO, PMGSY, A.R.
