Sasaram, Mar 06: Unidentified criminals looted nearly Rs 9 lakh from a garment showroom in Gorakshini locality under Town police station area here late last night.
Police said here today that two motorcycle borne criminals made employees of V-Mart showroom captives on gun point and looted nearly Rs 9 lakh from the cash box. Sources said that the garments were being offloaded from a truck when the incident took place. Sources added that the outlaws took away hard discs of CCTV cameras installed at the showroom so that they could not be identified.
An FIR had been lodged at the police station concerned on the statements of employees, police said. A massive manhunt is on to nab the accused, sources added. UNI

Sasaram, Oct 28: In a shocking incident of hooch tragedy in 'dry' Bihar, at least four people lost their lives and as many fell sick after consuming spurious liquor at Danwara village under Kachchawan police station area in Rohtas district last night. Police said here that 8 people had consumed spurious liquor at the village last night and started vomitting and developed other health complications. All of them were admitted to a hospital at Vikramganj, where 4 of them died during treatment. The deceased were identified as Dhanji Singh (32), Harihar Singh (55), Uday Singh (32) and Kamalesh Singh (32). Police said two seriously ill people - Ravi Singh and Krishna Singh had been rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital. A massive manhunt is on to nab outlaws involved in manufacturing and selling liquor. UNI


Sasaram, Aug 2 : Train services on New Delhi-Howrah grand chord line were completely paralysed when a goods train derailed near Dhanecha station on Gaya-Mughalsarai section of East Central railway today. Railway police said here that 16 coal-laden rakes of the goods train jumped off tracks when it was running between Dhanecha and Kamgha stations in Rohtas district. Overhead high voltage electric wire was snapped and electric poles on the sides of railway tracks broke due to the derailment. Around 300 metre railway track was also damaged in the mishap. The reason behind derailment was not immediately known. Several mail, express and passenger trains were stranded at various places. Some long distance trains had been diverted through main line via Patna. Some trains were terminated at Gaya railway station on the grand chord line. Senior railway engineers along with other employees reached the spot to remove debris from tracks. It will take nearly 4 to 5 hours before train services on Gaya-Mughalsarai could be restored, sources added. UNI
