Nov 21: President Ram Nath Kovind today paid obeisance at the Shaktipeeth
Kamakhya temple atop Nilachal hills in Guwahati.
Accompanied by his wife Savita Kovind, the President reached
the temple around 0945 hours and spent nearly 45 minutes in the temple
premises. The First Couple participated in different rituals inside the
temple. They left for Manipur after visiting the temple, winding up
the Assam leg of the President's North East tour. The President and his wife spent the night at the Raj Bhawan
here after attending a civic reception hosted by Guwahati University in their

MP, Nov 11: Observing that society makes immense contribution towards the
education of students, President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday urged them to
remain disposed for repaying the debt and to work for the cause of humanity.
“There is a contribution of society, region and the country besides family in
education. Therefore, students should not forget their debt and should always
be ready to work in the interest of the country, society and people,” Mr Kovind
said while addressing the convocation ceremony of Indira Gandhi National Tribal
University at Amarkantak in Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur district. On the occasion, first lady Savita Kovind, Madhya Pradesh Governor OP Kohli and
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan were also present. The President gave gold
medals and titles to meritorious students. Pointing out that their studies are not over, Mr Kovind said that a new
responsibility has come before them. UNI
