Deptts showcase products, highlight achievements

RAJOURI, JUNE 16: A 3-day "Making of Developed India" Festival-2017 organized by District Administration took off here today with massive participation of people.
The festival is being held at Government Higher Secondary School Rajouri.
Member Parliament (MP), Jugal Kishore Sharma was the chief guest at the inaugural function of the fest held under the supervision of District Development Commissioner, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary. During the festival the departments would showcase their products and highlighted progress and achievements recorded under different schemes.
The MP commended participating departments for highlighting achievements, and display material on awareness regarding development and welfare schemes being implemented by them.
Several stalls were setup to apprise people about different schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, Fasal Beema Yojna, ICDS, Beti Padhao Beti Bachao, Sukanya Samridhi Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna, Ujjwala Yojna etc.
Resource persons explained the public about the benefits of the schemes being implemented through their respective departments. Stall visitors also conveyed their suggestions to the departments.
Departments of Education, Health, Rural Development, Social Welfare, Panchayats, Agriculture, Horticulture and Labour are prominent in making the festival a success.

MLC, Vibod Gupta, ADC Mumtaz Ali, DPO ICDS Rashid Choudhary, ACR Paramjeet Singh, District Panchayat Officer Shafiq Choudhary beside officers of other departments, former PRI members, students, Anganwadi workers & helpers and people in large number participated in the festival that would continue till June 18.

UDHAMPUR, JUNE-02:- Minister for Forest, Environment and Ecology,  Choudhary Lal Singh today inaugurated  three day 'Making of Developed India Festival' (MODI Fest) being organised by National Film Development Corporation at Mini Stadium, Udhampur.
Director, Environment and Remote Sensing, O. P Sharma, Chief Conservator of Forests, Farooq Gillani, Conservator of Forests East Circle Jammu, Naveen Shah, Conservator SFRI, Harmohinder Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Avny Lavasa,  CF West Circle and Joint Director  Forest Protection Force Khwaja Qamardin, DFOs, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. K.C. Dogra and officers from different departments were present on the occasion.
The fest is being organized to spread awareness about various welfare schemes and initiatives of union government.
The Minister while highlighting the important schemes of the Government, said that the present dispensation is fully committed towards development of rural and remote areas .The Minister said that such awareness programmes help  in creating awareness about the various welfare schemes among the rural populace.
Many Exhibition & Information booths have also been installed  on the occasion. Besides programmes like ‘Jan Ki Baat’, Film shows, Cultural Programmes highlighting various Govt. schemes like Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yogna, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Jan Dhan Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna, Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojna,  PM Ujjwala Yojna, Digital India and some other schemes were also organised for generating awareness  among the masses.
Similarly, Lucky draws, Quiz competitions, Guidance sessions besides some other activities would also be organized during the three days long grand festival.
Later, the Minister also held a public meeting to take stock of the grievances of the people. He assured early redressal of the same.

JAMMU, JUNE 02: On the completion of three years of Union Government, a three-day ‘MODI festival’, began at Kalakendra in Jammu today. The festival was formally inaugurated by MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma and MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta.

Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Government is taking making concerted efforts to take the nation on the path of development and prosperity. He said that during the last three years, the Union Government has launched number of welfare schemes and all stakeholders should work in synergized way to ensure that benefits of these welfare schemes reach the targeted section of the society, he added.

MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta highlighted the Union government’s schemes and programmes launched for the empowerment of women and the weaker sections of the society. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government has taken unprecedented initiatives to curb the declining sex ratio.
