JAMMU, AUGUST 28 – Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr Arun Manhas today convened a meeting with officers and civil society members to review the arrangements for forth coming festival of Eid-ul-Azha.
The civil society members put forth their concerns related to fixation of rates and availability of suitable quantity of essential commodities in the market. The ADC directed the concerned to conduct inspection drives to check overpricing besides ensuring quality of products.
The ADC directed for making sufficient arrangements for drinking water at vital locations and mosques. He further directed PDD officers to provide uninterrupted power supply on the day of festivity.
The meeting also discussed the arrangements related to security and traffic management and directions were issued to make fool proof security arrangements in the city, besides deploying adequate staff for smooth traffic flow.
In the meeting, the ADC directed the concerned officers to maintain cleanliness outside the mosques in Jammu and other places including Talab Khatikhan, Gujjar Nagar, Mohalla Ustad, Eid Gaha, Janipur, Tawi Bridge, Gandhi Nagar, Bathindi, Mast Garh, Lakhdata Bazaar, Sidhra and Malik Market. 


Khalid stresses on timeline completion of projects

 JAMMU, JUNE 05: Vice Chairman, JK Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC), Khalid Jehangir today inspected various projects being executed by the Corporation in Jammu city and its peripheries.     
 During a whirlwind tour of the city, the V-C inspected Fourth Tawi Bridge, upcoming Legislative Complex and Conference Hall on MAM College campus.
 The VC took detailed review of the progress including status of the work and expenditure incurred so far on each project.    
Stressing on timeline completion of the projects, he asked Corporation to meet deadlines set by the government to realize the development vision of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
“The State Government’s main focus is to fast track the development at all levels and to achieve this target the executing agencies should put in extra efforts” he asked the JKPCC functionaries. He asked the engineers to put in their best efforts to fast track the development which forms the main agenda of the government.
