Jammu, Sept 15: Sunil Dimple President Jammu west assembly movement along with hundreds of irate angry people , traders, held massive protest rally on Janipur high court road, against the central Narinder Modi govt for failure to control the rising prices, hike in petrol, diesel, LPG gass, vegetable, essential commodities prices and no Ration on the ration depots, for which people voted Narinder Modi Govt and BJP for the aschey din.
Sunil Dimple reached the protest venure on cycle, when inquired by the media persons why he came on Cycle?
He said the Petrol is so costly that he cant afford to put in his Bike scoter.
Addressing protestors Sunil Dimple said that it is surprising that the PM Narinder Modi govt has put the rising prices in the country on top gear and hiked the prices of the Petrol, diesel, LPG gas beyond the reach of the common man.
He demanded the prime minister Narinder Modi to bring the Petrol, diesel, LPG gas under the GST.

Dimple said Modi Govt is increasing the prices of petrol and diesel every day which has badly break the back bone of the people of the country. In this way at the end of year the petrol prices will become 100/- per litter.
He said in the international market the prices are low but in our india the prices are increasing every day under the new Narinder Modi policy.

He demanded to exempt the VAT, sale tax and other taxes on the sale of the petrol, diesel, LPG gas and bring all this under the GST.

Dimple warned if the petrol diesel prices, not taken back, the prices not controlled stopped we will start the Janandolan against the rising prices in the country and the state.
Dimple alleged that the Modi govt has started to snatched the food, meals, from the plates of the common poor man as the prices of the essential commodities have also reached beyond the reach of the poor man and people of the country.
He alleged the central Govt is shifting the responsibility to state govts now and state Govt is shifting responsibility to central Govt and are being crushed between the central and state Govts for the rising prices of the petroleum products.
He further blamed the central govt has failed provide ration atta, rice , sugar, kerosene oil is also not available on the govt depots and the weaker section is facing lot of problems for the ration on depots.
He said the Narinder Modi Govt has failed in its four years performance and the people of the country gives Modi govt zero marks out of ten in the four years governance and no aschey din came this proved only a hollow slogan of the BJP.
The prominent leaders are Dr Sham Saroop, Harbans tondon, Chaman Pawar, Thodu Ram Mehra, Ashok, Khnna, Viky, Babu, Dev raj , Sanjay Sethi, Joginder Sharma, Brahma, Rakesh and many others.

          JAMMU JUNE 14: In order to execute work for erection of poles and stringing of 33 KV line conductor for shifting of load from Janipur Grid to Barn Grid, the shutdown of 33 KV Barn Bhalwal-Thathar-Bantalab line, 33kv Purkhoo line and Gharota line is being observed.
          During the shutdown, the power supply to Nardni, Raipur, MES, Radio Station, CRPF, PHE, Local Batal, Telephone Exchange, Aux. Hospital, Bantalab, Purkhoo and Gharota shall remain affected on June 17 and 18 from 6 am to 12 noon.
          Similarly, to carry out the stringing work between Loc No. 35/1 to 35/2, the Shutdown of 11 KV Kulliyan feeder and 33 KV Badyal Brahmana feeder is also being observed.
          During the shutdown, the power supply to Kulliyan, Hotli, Thekrian, Narietc (R.S Pura) being fed from 11 KV Kulliyan feeder shall remain affected on June 17 from 6 am to 12 noon.
          Likewise, the power supply to Badyal Brahmana (R.S.Pura) being fed from 33 KV Badyal Brahmana feeder at R.S Pura shall remain affected on June 17 from 6 am to 12 noon.

JAMMU JUNE 14: Intensifying its drive to protect consumers from exploitation by unscrupulous traders and to keep  check on the price of  essential commodities   in view of ensuing Eid-ul-Fitr, Enforcement wing of  Legal Metrology  conducted market inspections , here today.
The team conducted surprise checking of different business establishment in various localities including  Dogra Chowk, Pacca Danga, BC Road , Janipur, Roop Nagar , Akhnoor  and adjoining areas .
During inspection, different business establishments were inspected for their compliance with regard to various provisions of J&K Standard of weights and Measures Enforcement Act 2011(Amended) and   packages Commodities rules.
 The 10 erring traders were booked and penalty of Rs22400.00 was imposed on them for violation of various provisions of the Act.
 The traders were also directed to ensure that   Maximum Retail Price ( MRP), Date of Packing ( PKD), Net Contents and complete address of the Manufacturer and Consumer Care Number have been declared  on the Commodities to be sold in package form as per Legal Metrology Package commodities Rules 2011. 
    The Department also warned the unscrupulous traders to desist from using unfair trade and anti consumers Practices and also appealed to the consumers to remain vigilant while purchasing the commodities especially during the festival seasons

JAMMU, AUGUST 28 – Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr Arun Manhas today convened a meeting with officers and civil society members to review the arrangements for forth coming festival of Eid-ul-Azha.
The civil society members put forth their concerns related to fixation of rates and availability of suitable quantity of essential commodities in the market. The ADC directed the concerned to conduct inspection drives to check overpricing besides ensuring quality of products.
The ADC directed for making sufficient arrangements for drinking water at vital locations and mosques. He further directed PDD officers to provide uninterrupted power supply on the day of festivity.
The meeting also discussed the arrangements related to security and traffic management and directions were issued to make fool proof security arrangements in the city, besides deploying adequate staff for smooth traffic flow.
In the meeting, the ADC directed the concerned officers to maintain cleanliness outside the mosques in Jammu and other places including Talab Khatikhan, Gujjar Nagar, Mohalla Ustad, Eid Gaha, Janipur, Tawi Bridge, Gandhi Nagar, Bathindi, Mast Garh, Lakhdata Bazaar, Sidhra and Malik Market.

Rs 11200 fine charged from violators

JAMMU, JUNE 14: A joint team of enforcement agencies today charged Rs 11200 fine from the erring traders during a market checking in Janipur area.

The inspection, conducted to check quality of food and overcharging in view of ongoing Holy month of Ramadhan, inspected meat, vegetable, fruit shops and dhabas.

 The fine was charged from the traders found indulging in unfair trade practices of less weighment, overcharging on fixed rates, unhygienic conditions, non-producing of licenses, non-display of rate lists approved by Competent Authority and smoking in public places.

 The team constituted by Deputy Commissioner Jammu led by SDM North Mohammad Khan Alyas and Deputy Controller Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Manoj Prabhakar comprises of officers of Legal Metrology, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Food and Drug Controller Organization, PHE, PDD and Police Department 

The team, after sending dummy customers observed that some traders   were giving less quantity of commodities to customers. The Legal Metrology booked all such erring traders and   charged a fine of Rs.7700. Similarly the officers from FCS&CA also imposed a fine of Rs.3500 on erring traders.

The team also checked dhabhas, sweet shops, tea stalls etc. and destroyed cooked food items which was not fit for consumption. The team also imposed a fine on one person for smoking in the public place.

Meanwhile, the officers asked traders, not to indulge in unfair trade practice and   deliver exact quantity of commodity to consumers for which they are paying from their hard earned pocket while maintaining the quality and hygiene. They were also directed to display prominently and conspicuously the rate of every item kept for sale and not to charge any amount over and above the rates of these items. The team of officers also appealed to the general public to remain vigilant and file complaints to the concerned departments   in case of observing any type of unfair trade practice.
