Chief Engineer Beacon briefs Governor

          SRINAGAR, MAY 30: Col. H.S. Maan, Officiating Chief Engineer, Project Beacon, called on Governor N. N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan here today.

        Col. Maan briefed the Governor about the to-date status of the different road projects being executed by the Project Beacon.

 Governor stressed the timely completion of maintenance works of the Sonamarg-Neelgrath-Zojila axis keeping in view the increasing tourist arrivals and the forthcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra, 2017.

        While lauding the good work being done by the BRO in developing and maintaining the road network in the difficult and hilly terrain of Jammu and Kashmir, the Governor emphasized the crucial importance of the various construction works being completed strictly within the envisaged time schedules and also maintained satisfactorily.
