DDC reviews arrangements for Ramzan

REASI, MAY 24: District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar held a meeting with officers and representatives of various religious organizations to discuss arrangements for Ramzan.

Additional Superintendent of Police, Sanjay Singh Rana, ACR Abdul Satar and other officers were present in the meeting.

The representatives of various religious organizations apprised DDC with their demands related to uninterrupted water and power supply, improving sanitation and maintaining strict check on quality and rates of essential commodities and vegetables.

The DDC instructed Executive Officers of MCs Reasi and Katra to ensure cleanliness and sanitation in and around Mosques and Eidgahs. He also directed immediate repair of damaged street lights.

The officers were asked to work in synergy to carry out market checks to monitor quality of eatables besides keeping a strict vigil over rates of commodities. He asked the officers of food and supply department to ensure adequate supply of ration during Ramzan in all ration depots of the district.

PDD and PHE departments were asked to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply.
