SAMBA, MAY 20: Minister for Industries and Commerce,
Chander Parkash Ganga, today met the beneficiaries (42) of Kartholi and
Smailpur Panchayats, who have constructed the Individual House Hold Toilet
(IHHL) units, and announced a financial assistance of Rs 5.04 lakh to them.
Congratulating them for participating in the initiative, the Minister
announced endowment of Rs. 3,000 per IHHL unit from his Constituency
Development Fund in addition to Rs. 12,000 being provided by the government.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that 90% households in the panchayats
of Bari Brahmana block will have toilets by the end of the current financial
year.
BDO Bari Brahmana and other officials of the Rural Development
Department accompanied the Minister on the occasion.
