REASI, MAY 17 - To make rural masses aware about the  importance of cleanliness and ill effects of using Polythene, Integrated Watershed Management Project,  Reasi organised a series of Swacchta Abhiyan camps at village Sermegha, Panchayat Sersundwan, Hunder, Arnas, Bhaga, Gadi and Chinkah.
The camps were part of the campaign launched all across the state to celebrate Swacchata week.
Project Manager Reasi, District Level Technical Expert, social mobilisers of watershed management project briefed the participants about different components of the projects.
Calling upon people to maintain cleanliness, the Project Manager said that IWMP aims to conserve, rejuvenate and develop the degraded natural resources of the region, adding that while maintaining cleanliness, people have to ensure polythene free environment.
On the occasion, bio-degradable bags were also distributed among the people and children.      
The Chairman of the watershed committees and people from the villages along with school children participated in the camps.
