DIC conducts Naat, Qirat competition at Handwara

            KUPWARA, JUNE 21: In connection with Ramadan Special Programmes, the District Information Centre, Kupwara today conducted an impressive function at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Handwara, in which the students of various Higher Secondary Schools, private educational institutions participated in the Quran recitation competition.

          The programme was held in collaboration with Employees Joint Action Committee, School and District Administration.

         The Additional, Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara Dr. Abdul Hafez Shah(Masoodi) was the chief guest while the Principal Government Girls Higher Secondary School Handwara Ali Mohammad Bhat, EJAC District President Mir Fayaz Principals, ZEOs, teaching fraternity and a large number of students from various educational institutions were present on the occasion.

          The Principal, presented welcome address while the District President, EJAC and teaching staff also delivered lectures and express their views and shared their experiences

          The Chief guest Dr. A H Shah, other dignitaries also participated in prize distribution function at the concluding of the Naat and Qirat competition among the students who were awarded and commendation certificates were also distributed among the participants for best performance during the event.

         The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara Dr. A. H. Shah lauded the role of higher authorities of Information department for holding such programmes to provide the platform for the talented students to express their views before the audience.

 On the concluding function the District Information Officer, Kupwara presented vote of thanks.
