JAMMU, JUNE 17: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr
Mandeep Kumar Bhandari today reviewed the arrangements for International
Yoga Day to be celebrated at Mini Stadium Parade on June 21.
District Development Commissioner Jammu Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, Additional
Commissioner, Rehana Batool, Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar, ADC Dr. Arun
Manhas, besides senior officers of ISM, AYUSH, JMC attended the meeting.
While addressing the meeting, Divisional Commissioner
directed district administration to ensure maximum participation of people and
government employees in the mega Yoga Day session to be organized by Ministry
of AYUSH and district administration for raising awareness among the people
about the benefits of Yoga.
The meeting was informed that main part of the event is mass yoga
demonstration, which will adhere to common yoga protocol (CYP).
The Department of AYUSH was entrusted to provide yoga instructors. The
police department was asked to make fool proof security arrangements during the
event, besides keeping the link roads clear for the smooth movement of people
and vehicles.
The concerned authorities were asked to make available parking spaces to
avoid traffic congestions on the adjacent roads.
Div Com directed the concerned departments to ensure potable drinking
water facility at the venue while JMC was directed to ensure cleanliness in and
around the Mini Stadium.
