DM Baramulla chairs DLSCC meeting

Rs 23.5 lakh sanctioned among militancy related victims

          BARAMULLA, JUNE 24: -A meeting of District Level Screening-cum- Co-ordination Committee (DLSCC) was held here today under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Baramulla, Dr. Nassir Ahmad Naqash.  

          The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Medical Officer Baramulla, Deputy CEO, Tehsildar Baramulla, and Officers from other concerned departments including Police, Army and CID.  

            It was revealed in the meeting that as many as 40 cases were taken up, out of which 19 were cleared and some cases were deferred for want of clarification and permission for re-examination. Out of the 19 cases, 01 pertained to cash compensation under SRO-177 for which Rs.  04 lakh were sanctioned and five   cases were cleared for appointment. While as Rs.16.5 lacs were sanctioned in favour of 10 cases for property damaged besides Rs 03 lacs were sanctioned in 03 death cases. The eligibility including qualification of the applicants was also taken into account while deciding the appointments cases. The Reports from Police, CID and Army were thoroughly discussed while deciding the cases. All the necessary guidelines as per SRO-43 were also kept in view.

             The District Magistrate directed the concerned departments to expedite the process for fulfillment of requisite formalities/criteria for appropriate benefits to the claimants and beneficiaries as per the norms.
