RAJOURI, JUNE 16: Minister for Food, Civil
Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Information, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali, hosted
Iftaar for orphans here last evening.

“I feel
privileged to be part of this special occasion and it is a blessing of Almighty
Allah to share Iftaar with these beautiful children who have been deprived of
love and care of their parents,” the Minister said while interacting
with the orphans of Bal-Ashram and Nari-Niketan of Rajouri district.
Reaffirming government’s commitment of ensure a safe and
secure environment for these children, the Minister said that a number of
innovative steps are being taken to extend equal opportunities of progress and
prosperity to this section of youth. He exhorted upon the people to work
collectively for welfare and development of orphans describing it as everyone’s moral
duty.
Zulfkar Ali said such children need to be provided the emotional stability to help
them overcome their challenges, focus on their studies, enhance their skills
and build a sense of belonging.
Special arrangements were made on the occasion for the invitees to offer
Maghrib prayers. The participants prayed for peace and prosperity of the state.
