Lucknow, Jul 29: BJP president Amit Shah, who is on a three-day visit to the city of Nawabs, was today given a rousing welcome at the Lucknow airport Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with his ministers, including Deputy CM's Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma, were present at the airport to greet the BJP president. Mr Maurya is also the president of UP BJP. The visit of the BJP president will include meetings with the senior leaders and with the members of different cells. However, the most important meeting scheduled today evening would be with the state ministers at the state party headquarters. Mr Shah will also hold dinner with the ministers tonight. Immediately after his arrival from New Delhi, Mr Shah went to the 'Indira Gandhi Pratisthan' to hold meeting with party office bearers from Awadh, Kashi, Gorakhpur and Kanpur regions. He will also interact with various district presidents and district in-charges. Later in the evening, he will meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with his two deputies and other state ministers. In the night he will also meet the leaders of the alliance partners at the state party office. Tomorrow, he will address a meeting of intellectuals at Scientific Convention centre. Party state general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak here today said that the BJP chief’s visit to Lucknow was normal as he is visiting every state in the country to hold meetings over organisational activities. “The party national president will guide party workers on ongoing organisational activities and upcoming programmes,” Mr Pathak said. According to BJP leaders, Mr Shah will meet party’s state office bearers and heads of various cells to discuss initiatives such as programmes under Deendayal Upadhyay birth centenary celebrations, the 'vistarak' campaign and office development. He will also meet with the BJP organisational units from booth-level to state-level. Mr Shah’s most significant meeting, according to sources, will be with Mr Adityanath and his Cabinet members. “Shah may discuss the dissatisfaction prevailing among party workers against the state government. Party MLAs and other organisational workers have raised their disagreements at different forums, including top leaders in Delhi as well as the RSS. Shah will speak to everyone concerned,” said a party leader. The RSS senior functionaries had held three coordination meetings with Mr Adiyanath during the last three months to coordinate BJP and RSS units in the state. UNI
