Poonch, July 15 - Deputy
Commissioner Tariq Ahmed Zargar along with SSP Poonch Rajive Kumar Panday and
officers of district administration today visited Buddha Amaranth to review and
finalize the arrangements for the annual Buddha Amaranth yatra commencing
from July 28.
Later the DDC held a meeting with the
officers and prominent citizens and took a detailed review of the arrangements.
The meeting discussed thread bare
various issues pertaining to security, medicare, transportation, accommodation,
availability of essential items at site, cleanliness, sanitation etc.
Health authorities informed
that Ambulances and necessary medicine along with team of doctors will be
places at site during the yatra. AEE R&B assured that 40 shed and road work
will be completed by July 22.
DC directed DPO& EO
municipality for ensuring proper sanitation and illumination facility at site
of Buddha Amaranth shrine.
Security scenario was also discussed
in details & it was informed that adequate security arrangements are put in
place including areas dominations at different sites.
The Deputy Commissioner sought
cooperation from civil society members for the smooth conduct of the yatra. The
civil society members assured their full cooperation to administration for the
comfortable stay of Yatries
The Deputy Commissioner also visited
at Langer sites and others places at Buddha Amaranth Shrine premises to take
overall view of arrangements.
